Osteopathy is a gentle hands on manual therapy that focuses on realigning the body to promote optimal healing.

It does so through the consideration of three main principles:

  1.  The body is able to self heal and self regulate naturally.

2. Structure lies at the basis of every function, meaning that proper alignment through all

layers of the body are required in order for the systems to function as designed.
3. The body is one dynamic unit of function, of which everything is connected within.

During treatment, the osteopathic manual practitioner conducts a thorough assessment in order to find the root cause of the symptoms a patient may be experiencing. They work with the fascia, muscles and ligaments to improve joint range of motion, nerve function and the free flow of blood and lymph. In doing so, restrictions that are preventing the body from its natural healing mechanism are freed. Each treatment is unique and catered to the individual needs of the patient.

Osteopathy can treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, shoulder and hip pain.

It can also help with digestive issues, stress reduction, circulation problems, and sports injuries.

Additionally, osteopathic treatment can assist with sleep cycles and certain symptoms related to the nervous, circulatory, and lymphatic systems.
