Shasta Coombes
Student Massage Therapist
Shasta is in her final year at Vicars School of Massage Therapy, and will become a Registered Massage Therapist after graduation. Her journey into massage therapy began after years of working as a ski patroller and wildfire fighter, both of which sparked a deep interest in the human body, injury recovery, and the healing process. With a focus on athletes and “occupational athletes”, Shasta is passionate about helping clients stay pain-free and perform their best. Her practice emphasizes relaxation, pain relief, and personalized home care plans to support ongoing self-care and injury prevention. Shasta is committed to trauma-informed care, creating a safe, supportive environment for clients who may be dealing with physical or emotional pain. Brheigh Grant
Osteopathic Manual Practitioner
Brheigh moved to Banff in 2015, shortly after completing her BA in International Development Studies at Dalhousie University. Despite being born and raised in a small and quiet Nova Scotian town, she felt drawn to the fast-paced and adventurous mountain lifestyle that mountains had to offer. After spending several years travelling and pursuing mountain hobbies, Brheigh felt called again to her passion for healing and wellness and to further her education. She enrolled in a four year intensive osteopathy program at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in January 2020, persevering through her program despite the global pandemic. She graduated in April 2024, as an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner. She is excited to extend her reach to the Golden Community.
Brheigh is a firm believer in the body’s innate ability to self-heal. Through gentle, non invasive manipulations she seeks to realign the body to create a more ideal environment for which the body to heal within. Throughout her investigative treatment process, she searches for the root cause of restrictions or symptoms that the patient is experiencing. In doing so, she strives to find a more permanent solution for the patient’s health. As a classically trained osteopath, she designs every treatment to cater to the unique needs of each individual patient. No two treatments are the same.
Brheigh also believes that health is a mindset, and that emotional well-being and physical health are closely related. She is just as passionate about restoring the patient’s faith in their own ability to self-heal as she is about facilitating health. Through patient collaboration and education, she aims to draw awareness to the power of the body to recover and thrive.

Studio Instructors

Laura Baer
Owner, RMT, 200-HR Yoga Teacher and ELDOA Instructor
Laura completed her initial training as an RMT in 2014 with the Canadian College of Massage Therapy and is now practicing massage therapy to help people create freedom in their movement and changes in their relationship with their bodies for overall long-term wellbeing. She has a deep appreciation for the body’s innate wisdom and healing power. Laura regards massage as one avenue by which she can help others with their health and happiness.
Laura is also passionate about food, regenerative agriculture and working towards creating a healthy planet for generations to come. She grew up on an organic farm in Ontario and studied International Development with an agricultural focus at the University of Guelph where she captained the varsity soccer team. After university, she knew she also wanted to study the body and went to massage school followed by travelling to India to train as a yoga teacher. Laura spends most of her free time adventuring outdoors and growing her garden!

In December 2022, Mary completed her 200-HR Yoga Teacher Training and quickly embarked on a journey to share her love for yoga. She is passionate about mindful practices that are rooted in traditional Hatha yoga promoting integrative health through mind, body and breath.

Ieva Bute
500-HR Yoga Teacher
Ieva is a long-time yoga lover turned teacher—certified with 200 hours of training in sunny Spain and 300 hours in the peaceful mountains of Nepal. While she has spent plenty of time in Downward Dog, she believes yoga is less about touching your toes and more about what you learn on the way down. Ieva believes that yoga is really about flexibility of the mind—the ability to pause, breathe, and move with intention (even when life feels like a balancing pose on one leg). In her classes, you will focus on conscious movement, breath, and learning how to unwind—physically and mentally.
Whether you’re brand new or have been practicing for years, Ieva aims to create a space where you can stretch, breathe, laugh, and maybe even fall over a little—because growth often looks like wobbly tree pose at first.
“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self… and sometimes through a few giggles and tight hamstrings"
